- Hi this is Nick Tomkins from Grand Island, NY. I am a sophomore at Gannon University in Erie, PA. During the Spring of 2010 I will be living on the SAS ship MV Explorer. In the span of a little over 100 days I will have sailed around the world, visiting a total of 10 different countries! This program is called "Semester at Sea" and is sponsored by the University of Virgina. I created this blog as a way for me to keep in touch with family and friends, and keep them and you posted on my globe trotting adventures!
